Professional profile
Working as a Marketing Project Manager in the Assistance division of Falck, my daily focus is on the customers and how we can sell our services to them. The activities in Falck are directed at preventing accidents and disease; providing assistance in situations of emergency, accidents or need; and helping people move on with their lives after illness or accidents. Falck has business activities in most areas of Europe and on five continents.

In the Assistance division of Falck we sell insurance services to both the consumer market and the business market. I am responsible for marketing campaigns for the product line in Denmark - from burglar alarms to insurance for roadside assistance and health care. The campaigns range from direct mails to permission marketing (e-mail and phone), online campaigns, magazine ads, TV etc. I am curious to see how my profession is carried out in a country as different from Denmark as South Korea and hope to gain new insights into the ways in which companies in South Korea approach similar marketing activities.

My professional interest in going to South Korea is focused around marketing. I would like to meet people/companies working with direct marketing and mass marketing. Furthermore I would like to see how mobile marketing and the social media is integrated in marketing in South Korea.

Personal profile
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family; going to cafés, concerts, and the cinema - and not least experimenting in my kitchen. I am an outgoing person and like to arrange events for colleagues, my network and friends. A couple of times a week I put on my running shoes and go for a run in the nature around Copenhagen, I go to Pilates classes and generally like to exercise.

Travelling and the joys associated with it have always been on top of my list whenever on holiday. I have travelled in South Africa, North America, discovered the wonderful nature and atmosphere of South East Asia, and travelled all over Europe.

I see this GSE to Gyeongsangnam in South Korea as an interesting way of experiencing a new culture and at the same time improve my professional qualifications. While I hope to learn a lot I also feel that I have a lot to share, especially my learnings from the last 4½ years in Falck - a more than 100 years old organization with a strong culture.
